Summary
In July 2008, ADF and Pacific Justice Institute attorneys filed a lawsuit on behalf of a former San Jose City College professor fired for answering a student's in-class question regarding heredity and homosexual behavior. June Sheldon, an experienced adjunct professor teaching a human heredity course, responded by citing a class textbook and a well-known investigation. Following an investigation after a different student lodged a complaint, Sheldon was recommended for removal and later terminated by the board of trustees.
