While your heart may go out to a potential client who can’t pay, the hard truth is that litigation costs money. Attorneys often just can’t afford to invest the necessary time and expense to represent a client entirely pro bono.
That’s where the Alliance Defending Freedom Grants and Funding program can help. When you are confronted with a case dealing with religious freedom, the sanctity of life, or marriage and family that you believe in, but simply can’t afford to take on, we offer two options:*
-
Financial Resources
We enable you to help the people you want to help. Since its launch in 1994, Alliance Defending Freedom has provided attorneys like you with more than $54 million through thousands of grant awards that have helped fund cases, amicus efforts, and advocacy-related projects across the United States and around the world. We recognize that without financial and other support, many matters ADF cares about will not be pursued.
-
An Alliance
We offer a partnership that goes beyond monetary support. We invest together and offer consultation and legal expertise when you request it.
Of course, requests for this kind of assistance always outpace the resources immediately available—so your application doesn’t automatically guarantee that “the check is in the mail.” That said, every application will receive thoughtful attention, and our financial support is in no way limited by the extent of your direct involvement with Alliance Defending Freedom.
*You don’t have to be a Network Attorney to apply for our help.
