Sharon Supp
Sharon Supp serves as legal counsel in the Center for Parental Rights at Alliance Defending Freedom. She focuses on parental rights and advocacy strategy, including developing and implementing strategic initiatives designed to promote and preserve parents’ fundamental right to direct their children's upbringing, education, and healthcare through litigation, legislation, communication, and public relations.
Prior to joining ADF in 2021, Supp spent several years in private practice as a law partner at Leffler, Hyland, & Thompson, PC, and also as an associate attorney at Smith & Pugh, PLC (now Smith Pugh & Nelson, PLC). From 2019 to 2021, she was an active and outspoken parent advocate before the Loudoun County Public Schools Board in Loudoun County, Virginia. Supp earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from George Mason University in 1992, and a Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1996. She has been a member of the Virginia State Bar since 1996 and is admitted to practice before the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
